PHIL Award Winner

Patti Diluzio RCP, RRT has been a Respiratory Therapist at UCSF Medical
Center since July,14 1978. Her determined work ethic and commitment to
both her profession and the patients she cares for made the decision easy
to award her the first Phil award ever given to a UCSF employee.

Patti’s career as a RRT began its track to excellence shortly after she was
first hired. By 1988 Patti was recognized as being a leader and was
promoted to Assistant Day Shift Supervisor. Two years later she was
promoted to Day Shift Supervisor. Patti continued to shake things up and
was recognized by the Medical Center for her effective response and
support following the 1989 Loma-Preita SF Bay area earthquake.

Patti completed the requirements to become a RT II and was promoted in
1995. Patti has always delivered the best and most appropriate care to the
patients she serves. Her commitment to detail, patient care plan
recommendations and drive to deliver top quality patient care is exemplary
and well recognized by the PHIL award.
