PHIL Award Winner
October 2012
Roberta "Bobbie" Gilbert is a 1988 graduate of Macomb Community College
and has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist since 1989. She has
worked at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital for the last five years. Not only is she an
excellent role model for staff members, she also helps with the scheduling of
the day shift for the RT department.
Following are just a few of the comments received regarding Bobbie.
One nomination reads:
"In the handful of years I have worked with Roberta “Bobbie” Gilbert, I have
seen how caring of her patients she is. Bobbie keeps a positive outlook about
her job and does her best to assist patients at all times. Bobbie is someone
that I would want to care of my family and friends. She treats every patient and
their families with respect at all times. Her positive nature is also contagious
and I am quite certain the patients enjoy that too. Bobbie is a compassionate,
caring professional all the way. "
Another nomination continues:
Bobbie is a very caring and professional therapist. I have had patient families
share positive feedback when Bobbie took care of them. The other staff,
nurses, physicians, and PAs, also note how caring and compassionate she is.
Bobbie is a positive influence and someone I would trust with friends and
family. I have worked with Bobbie five years but it seems longer. She is
wonderful.
