Martha Sarasa, RRT, has been with the adult respiratory therapy team
at University Hospitals - Case Medical Center since graduating from
the Respiratory Therapy program at Cuyahoga Community College.
She is an intensive care therapist with vast experience in the surgical
populations.
She was inducted into the Quarter Century Club this year to celebrate
25 years of service. The club is a significant part of University Hospitals’
recognition program. In October 2010, she was voted to receive the
Respiratory Care Excellence Award (a.k.a. Therapist of the Year) by her
coworkers.
Martha was nominated for The PHIL Award by fellow co-worker, Rachel
Varek. Rachel had this to say about working with Martha, “She is a very
proactive therapist. She constantly rounds on patients and moves them
forward in their respiratory care in a safe and effective manner… Her
excellence in respiratory therapy, skills and knowledge have helped
many patients in our ICU.”
